MAPA makes hats by hand and paints originals, at prices where nobody buys on impulse. A shop like that has a specific problem: the object has to be believable through a screen, and the shop has to feel like the atelier rather than like a marketplace listing.
The store is built around the photography, with the gallery, the bespoke hats and the paintings as separate routes into the same catalogue, customer accounts, cart and checkout. Everything the brand needed to sell directly, without handing a margin to a platform.
The design stays deliberately quiet: lowercase navigation, a lot of black, and nothing competing with the work itself.
