Rooted in the rich tradition of tango, the Gdynia Tango Festival entrusted MENA Studio with creating a visual identity that reflects the festival's essence. From custom illustrations to carefully chosen typography and a vibrant colour palette, our aim was to capture the spirit of tango and translate it into a brand that holds together wherever it appears.

Crafting a Visual Symphony: Custom Illustrations and Artwork

Inspired by the graceful movements and emotive expressions of tango, we crafted custom illustrations that sit at the heart of the festival's visual identity. Each one captures something of the dance, from the embrace of the dancers to the rhythm of the music.

Typography Selection

In our effort to capture the essence of tango, we chose typography that reflects the elegance and sophistication of the dance. The typefaces strike a balance between tradition and modernity, carrying the timeless appeal of tango with a contemporary turn.

Vibrant Colour Palette

Drawing on the energy of tango, we built a palette with warmth and vitality in it. Rich shades of pink, bright yellow and accents of turquoise come together into something that reads as a festival before a word is spoken.

Website Design and Immersive Experience

The Gdynia Tango Festival website is where the festival's pull becomes practical: visitors explore the lineup, find the instructors, and work out what they want to attend. Straightforward navigation and strong visuals do the rest.
